Boulder’s Green Garage buys Tire Source, opening combined shop on 55th Street
September 16, 2012, Daily Camera – After 30 years of running The Tire Source in Boulder, owner Pete Spoelfhof
recently decided it was time to hand over the keys.
Last month, the 61-year-old Spoelhof, sold his tire shop to the owners of Boulder’s Green Garage, a provider of auto services designed to be both eco-friendly and energy-efficient.
The transaction between the two neighbors at 3200 28th St. allows for the continuation of a longtime local business and a new direction for a burgeoning upstart.
