Green Garage in Boulder: Combine a Whole Foods with Midas repair shop
July 5, 2011, The Denver Post -Â Ryan Ferrero, who describes himself as a recovering car dealer, had a question: What would it look like if you merged a Whole Foods Market and a Midas auto repair shop?
The answer is the Green Garage.
Launched 18 months ago in Boulder, the Green Garage is a full-service auto repair shop offering a twist — big boosts in performance and mileage by adding bits and pieces of new technology.
A second garage opened in Denver in January. The plan is to open six more in Denver and one in Fort Collins, said Ferrero, a former owner of a Loveland auto dealership and Green Garage’s “Chief Carhugger.”
“There isn’t any car that can’t be made greener,” he said.
